Drawing & Pastels

From pencils, pen & ink, inked brushes, wax coloured pencils, crayons, charcoal, chalk, pastels, & of course nowadays, digital drawing. Coupled with the use of various kinds of erasers, markers & styluses, drawing is often believed to form the foundation of any artistic pursuit. But, what is drawing actually? Though most often associated with figurative artistic movements, drawings are nonetheless a critical tool for artists & creatives across a wide range of disciplines, whether as a means of exploring & developing new ideas, or as finished products in themselves. Drawing is deemed by many as the most primal & direct form of visual expression, a simple, or even simplistic art form.
