About: Feeling passionate about watercolour is an understatement for local artist Sue as she believes it is the perfect medium to capture the beauty & essence of the world we live in. “It’s not about looking & painting a particular subject,  but letting that subject inspire & influence the outcome so that it becomes  the painting itself”.   Join us & experience the joys of watercolour with a master of the technique.

About: After completing her Diploma in Art & Design & achieving a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art in 2006 at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, Surrey, Kate works on her own artwork at her studio in Emsworth as well as tutoring at Unlimited Creative. Landscape, Interiors & Still Life are subjects that continue to excite her, as well as finding new ways of working.

Masterclass Detailsthis masterclass is for artists who are confident in their working practice. You can come with an idea of your own & you will be guided & encouraged to work with a fresh approach, free of all limitations. Sometimes we can get stuck with ideas, particularly when one works in isolation. Stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary but also liberating as you find new ways of working. It can be a lengthy process as it requires making choices, problem solving, evaluating, reworking, overworking & a persistence to keep going.

The work can be revealed in one Masterclass or it can evolve over time. Please bring with you your own materials, but be prepared to use a multiple selection, such as acrylics, water-based oils, pastels, crayons, charcoal, ink, paper, pencils, fabrics, thread, papers, foil, wood – whatever you wish.
