Making textiles, or textile art, is an extremely old art form, but its diversity is what makes it a fascinating and satisfying art form – creating anything from a bag and clothes, to art works and 3D sculptures.
Glass fusing is the technique used to join glass pieces together by partly melting the glass at high temperature. It’s easy to learn the basics of fusing glass. It’s also challenging, fun, stress relieving & the possibilities are endless.

About: Kathryn works in both glass & textiles & simply loves what she does! Her inspiration & designs are gathered from where she lives – near the sea – the places she visits & the people she meets. Her artwork & love of creating now feeds into the day jobs working with adult learners, students at the University of Chichester & Chichester College. She is writing a paper for an MA, researching how art & the crafting process can enhance learning, relieve anxiety, stress & increase self confidence in learners.
